Adrian Smith loved the Golf R before it had even arrived in Canada. When he found out it was coming, he put a down payment for one at the dealership to be part of the first shipment of Golf Rs sent to Canada. It wasn't long before he was driving off in a 2016 Volkswagen Golf R of his own, and collecting parts for the car before it even made it home.
