Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) has released a new range of 225mm Mod-Twin clutch kits for 2007-2018 BMW models equipped with turbocharged N54 and N55 3.0-liter engines and six-speed manual transmissions.

The lineup includes 16 kit configurations with torque capacities ranging from 690 to 1,270 lb-ft, depending on disc type, hub configuration, and clamp load.

ACT’s Mod-Twin system uses a modular 225mm twin-disc design with a Mono-Drive hub, which uses a continuous single hub spline rather than multiple short hubs. According to ACT, the design helps reduce input-shaft spline wear while maintaining consistent clutch release.

Street-oriented kits are available with organic friction discs and either sprung or rigid hubs. These configurations are rated for 690 or 850 lb-ft of torque, depending on the kit.

For competition applications, ACT offers 6-pad race-disc versions with sprung or rigid hubs rated for 1,060 or 1,270 lb-ft. ACT notes that the race configurations are not recommended for street use.

All kits use a forged aluminum cover assembly and include an XACT Streetlite chromoly flywheel, clutch hardware, release bearing, pilot bearing, and alignment tool. The system maintains the factory stack height for compatibility with OE or aftermarket release-bearing assemblies.

ACT says the Mod-Twin kits are precision-balanced as complete assemblies and are available in multiple configurations to suit street and competition applications.
