Converted: Jim Goritsas’ 1990 Nissan Skyline GT-R

Up until his son convinced him to look at imported JDM cars, Jim Goritsas had spent the majority of his life as an American muscle car builder. After years of building blown Camaros, he decided to venture into unknown waters, and jumped head first into imports. First up was a 1995 Eclipse GSX, followed by a 1995 Nissan 240sx. He loved the Nissan so much that he set his sights on a GT-R. Not long after that, Goritsas brought home a 1990 Nissan Skyline GT-R.

By this time, Goritsas had developed tremendous respect for Japanese car culture, and noted that “Godzilla” was the Japanese car that stood out above the rest for him. After driving the car for a while, and keeping it stock, the temptation to build his GT-R into a monster became too strong to resist. It wasn’t long before Goritsas was shopping for quality parts to transform the car’s driveability, style, and comfort.

Today, that once stock GT-R Goritsas brought home is a 1,000-plus horsepower monster, converted to a single Precision 75/76 dual BB Sportsman series turbocharger. With an aggressive style complemented by his Motul USA livery, it’s clear upon first glance that this GT-R is all business, and embraces its racing heritage to the fullest.
