The show of all shows, SPOCOM, took over the Anaheim Convention Center for the seventh annual event. In orderly fashion, the vendors set up and the show cars rolled in as a line of enthusiasts formed outside the ticket office anxiously waiting to see the modified beauties parked inside.
When entering the show, instantly, it felt like the atmosphere of SEMA. The set up was organized and the quality of cars began at the front entrance before spilling inside. To the right, the Toyo Tires big rig, with the sponsored Smart Car, rocked a set of neon green wheels lifted up about 12 feet in the air. To the left, the Ben Sopra R35 seen in the recent Fast and the Furious film and a custom Matte painted Subaru BR-Z with a customized Rocket Bunny kit, with gold plated key components in the engine bay wooed the crowd.
SPOCOM has always been known for bringing out the top models in the scene showcasing the best up and comers and this year was no different. What did stand out were the vendor models and the ‘Main Model Lounge,’ which was split into two sections.
SPOCOM never fails to live up to the hype.
