Take a look at designer and sneaker customizer, nobrainer’s latest project. It’s a concept of a special edition Nike Dunk Low. Based on Takumi Fujiwara, the main character in cult-favorite anime, Initial D, the shoes take elements from the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 that served as the delivery car for Fujiwara Tofu Shop, and the occasional spirited driving on the mountain roads in Japan.
FEATURES
- Black and white leather uppers are featured throughout
- Purple panel on the heel
- Orange tag on the end of the Swoosh
- "Fujiwara Tofu Shop" shop name can also be found on the lateral heel counter
- The license plate is etched in green at the rear of the midsoles
This shoe design was shared on nobrainer’s social feed only as a concept, and so unfortunately is not currently available. But, how many of you would you want to see these come to life?
But ask any (true) Initial D fan, and they will tell you that Takumi wore New Balance NB 574s…
