Introduction / Club / Team History: In the beginning, we had no idea that Nine-O-Five Rides would quickly become one of the scenes leading car clubs. With a starting member base of about 10, we expected to have a lower member count. Once members started to come onboard, the club started to branch out to other ‘chapters’ like Hamilton, GTA and even Barrie. Being only 2 years old, our club has been able to secure a strong member base, compete in some of Canada’s biggest shows as a team, and we’ve managed to stir up a new hype in the Niagara Region.

Awards / Accomplishments: In the past 2 years since the club has been in the scene, we’ve achieved over 75 awards including 1^st-3^rd place ‘in-class’ awards, specialty awards, Largest Club and Best of Show.

Media Coverage (feature / articles): A number of our rides have been featured in Performance Auto and Sound; Stance is Everything; and other popular publications.

Shows Attended: CSCS, Tuner’s Against Street Racing, IMPORTFEST, Import Expo, Tuner Trial Series, Voice Coil Meltdown, Battle at the Border

Future Plans: Our goal is to host our first awards show in the Summer of 2011.

General Questions

PAS: How long was the club operating? When did it start?

A: Nine-O-Five Rides has been in operation for over 2 years now. It was started in July 2008.

PAS: How did it start?

A: Before the club idea, a group of us would always meet at a local Tim Horton’s to hang-out. After a few gatherings, we noticed a lot of rides would come and join us so we figured we’d try to start up a car enthusiast group, and keep it small (driver’s in our area). After a few months, word got out to other local drivers and the club really started to take off without beyond anyones expectations!

PAS: How did you come up with the name?

A: We wanted something that represented our area/region. There are 100’s of clubs all around the GTA and surrounding locations, but down here in the ‘south’ we haven’t got much.

PAS: How many members in your club?

A: We currently have over 480 registered members on the site, and over 20 show cars on our team.

PAS: What kind of cars are in your club?

A: Our vehicles range anywhere from imports, domestics, muscle to exotic. We also have street bikes, and sponsor a Mod-Lite Dirt Track Race Car.

PAS: Where is the club based (City, State/Province, Country)?

A: Nine-O-Five Rides is based mainly in the Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada.

PAS: Are there any chapters / offshoots? If so, where are they based and how many members do they have?

A: We also have other chapters of the club which are located in Hamilton, GTA and as far north as Barrie. Each average with about 30-40 members.

PAS: What is your club all about? (What do you do together, how often do you meet, what do you offer your members, etc)

A: Nine-O-Five Rides has now become more of a family rather than a ‘car club’. A lot of the members met each other when the club was formed a couple years ago, and since then it’s just bloomed into a large family. We host a cruise night every Sunday night at the local Part Source (Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls, Ontario) which averages 30-40 cars weekly and 2-3 times a week will go for a cruise. We also host events every season such as a golf tournament in the spring, beach meet in the summer, ‘season-closer’ cruise/dinner in the fall and a Christmas dinner in the winter. The key is to not stay stagnant, keep members on their feet and stay active in the automotive community! We attend on average 1-2 shows a weekend plus any other events that may occur during the week. We also have both a Show Team and a Track Team which have their designated leaders.
