August 2011
We hope you enjoyed last month’s annual Buyer’s Guide. Now that we’re back into the swing of things, we’ve jam packed the August issue with a slew of features and coverage from the summer’s biggest events. It’s been awhile, but PASMAG has an rx7 on its cover again – and wow, what a sexy car.
Featured here is a great piece on a Brax Helix 2009 BMW X6, a very impressive project car.
As far as events go, we’ve managed to cover the lot: CSCS Round 1, Formula Drift Round 3, the latest Import Face-Off and many more.
This month’s model is poised beauty, Daphne Joy – an utter knockout, and we put a few things to the test at the Cogent Audio Labs as well as this year’s Speaker Buyer’s Guide; it is audio competition season y’know.
THE EVENT
Canadian Sport Compact Series (CSCS) kick started the season 2011 with a jam packed Season Opener presented by Sailun Tires. The events attracted over 600 competitors who competed in one of the various CSCS National Championships including Drag Racing, Drifting, Time Attack and the Show & Shine. With the hot sun beaming down race fans poured into Toronro Motorsports Park breaking the CSCS all time spectator attendance record by mid-afternoon.
MODEL FEATURE
We are pleased to introduce the gorgeous Daphne Joy
Voluptuous curves and beautiful lips drew us to this half Filipino, half Puerto Rican beauty. Born in Olongapo, Philippines and now residing in Los Angeles, the lovely Daphne Joy has made a name for herself not only in print, but on the big screen as well.
PUT TO THE TEST
Gary Springgay and the boys at Cogent Audio Labs put some of the best car products on the market to the test. This month, we take a look at the Clarion VX 401, Kenwood DNX 9980 HD Nav., and the Soundstream RF 8W, just to name a few.
TECH
This month we profile another great article from Moto IQ and catch up with the team involved in the Sony Scion Project – this month’s profile is on the suspension system and we look at a TurboKits.com installation.
