2016 Chevrolet Silverado 001 trucks pasmag

General Motors is in the midst of revamping its entire truck lineup. New for the 2016 model year is the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra. The new Silverado 1500 brings muscular designs and new customer-focused technologies to the most dependable, longest-lasting family of full-size pickups on the road. New muscular front end designs, sculpted hoods and signature LED lighting accents reflect Silverado’s strength and dependability. Other changes for 2016 will include expanded use of eight-speed automatic transmissions, updated available Chevy MyLink with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and additional safety technologies.

The Sierra is GMC’s best-selling truck, and is coming off its best June since 2006 and 12 consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains. With exterior styling as its top reason for purchase, the new Sierra adds key design elements such as LED “C-shaped” signature daytime running lights and LED headlights, a new front fascia and grilles for each trim level, new LED fog lamps, new bumpers and new “C-shaped” LED taillights. The new Sierra will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
