"A Child's Smile" Charity Car Show

It was a long time in the making, and all began with the Scion scene in a car team called Revoluscion. Jeoffrey Maldonado and Eric Lopez met at one of the weekly meets in downtown Los Angeles and this was where it all began. After a few years of attending shows together as a team, both had their own sense of business and went separate ways. Jeff with 742 Marketing and Eric with Geisha Events; while the past year went by many affiliations were made on both sides and the foundations grew to be strong.

Eric took control of the non profit Organization Cars4Cancer and partnered up with many of the larger shows with promotions while building a team of models called “Geisha Dolls” to help promote the events and affiliates that are part of their network. Jeff took the reins from the business side of the automotive industry and took force at the largest show of the year, SEMA. He helped build 30+ cars and made it possible for many enthusiasts to reach their dream goal.

Cars4Cancer has an annual toy drive called “A Child’s Smile”. Geisha Events decided to make it a Car Show to bring out local enthusiasts in helping bring more attention to the need of children in the local hospitals who will be spending Christmas in their hospital room instead of the comfort of their home with family. They partnered with 742 Marketing, PASMAG and Extreme Dimensions to be able to reach out to their maximum potential. The week prior to the event had shown rain in the forecast for the event date, this event though was rain or shine, as they kept stating: “Rain won’t stop us from helping bring a smile to a child’s face”.

The day of the event came, clouds loomed above and threatened rain but throughout the day it never arrived. Despite the weather forecasts, a few hundred cars were in attendance and over 500 Toys were collected. Two of our favorite rides of the day had to be the best of show Acura NSX on 24 karat gold-plated Mugen MF10 wheels, and the now infamous “Stay Crushing” Scion FR-S that is scheduled to be a cover feature with us here at PASMAG.

The collaboration efforts of Cars4Cancer / Geisha Events / 742 Marketing / and PASMAG helped bring many smiles to the children in the hospitals, and that is all that truly matters in the end.
