DMCC: 2013 Season Changes

Following the purchase of Drift Mania by G1 Tour and Circuit Ste-Croix, we are happy to present you some of the changes for the 2013 season.

PRO AM RETURNS
To continue the momentum of training new drivers on Canadian soil, DMCC will continue to operate with two separate championships, a TOP 16 Pro and a TOP 16 Pro Am. Only the last race of the season will consist of a TOP32 where all the best Pro-Am will be invited to participate. Regulations of DMCC Pro Am 2012 will be in force.

MERGE BETWEEN DMCC AND 418 PAYBACK
One championship will be organized, the DMCC. Circuit Ste-Croix will host two events of DMCC in 2013 bringing to eight the number of events.

Round 1 – Autodrome Montmagny – JUNE 1 & 2 (PRO + PROAM)
Round 2 – Autodrome St-Eustache – JUNE 29 – Evening (PRO + PROAM)
Round 3 – Circuit Riverside Speedway JULY 6 & 7 (PRO + PROAM)
Round 4 – Victoriaville, QC – JULY 21 & 20 / 27 & 28 Rain Date (PRO + PROAM)
Round 5 – Circuit Riverside Speedway – AUGUST 10 – (PRO ONLY)
Round 6 – Autodrome Montmagny – AUGUST 17 Evening (PRO + PROAM)
Round 7 – Autodrome St-Eustache – 1 & 2 SEPTEMBER – Labour Day (PRO + PROAM)
Round 8 – Sanair, St-Pie – SEPTEMBER 14 TOP 32 (COMBINED PRO + PRO AM)

DRIVER PAYOUT
To help drivers, the direction of the DMCC is proud to announce that driver payout in 2013 will be the highest ever seen in a drift championship drift around the world. Totaling more than $ 187,000 the payout structure is the following:

2) $ 4,000
3) $ 2,000
4) $ 500
5-8) $ 250

PRO AM
1) $ 3,000
2) $ 1,500
3) $ 750

2013 DMCC CHAMPION BONUS
An incredible bonus for the 2013 Champion : a trip for two to attend the final of Formula Drift Irwindale, California, all expenses paid.

REGISTRATION FEES
Registration fees for drivers were abolished.

NEW VENUES
We will be host a new event on the new racetrack of St. Croix near Quebec with the addition of S in the central part of the circuit. New bleachers will accommodate a very impressive number of spectators. Sanair circuit will be relocated on the Tri-Oval where the highest speed ever seen in Canada will be achieved.

NEW TEAM
President since 2009, Eric Belec, remains in charge as Event Director, with François Hardy Michaud and Kim Routhier at event operations and several new team members will also join our existin team to blow up the sport in Canada.

CONCERT
When the DMCC Round 5 August 10 at Circuit Ste-Croix, you will have the chance to enjoy the benefit of Eric Lapointe after the competition. Several other international events will be held in St. Croix so June 23, 2013, a national holiday. Expect to see a show (artists announced shortly).

SEASON PASSES
For customers who purchased season passes, they will be valid for six events that were previously written on the passes. Round 1 was moved from June 14-15 to June 1-2. The Triple deals passes will be valid for 3 of the 6 events on the cards. The events of St-Croix are not on listed on these cards so they can’t be part of it.

STREET PARADE
In addition to the parade in the streets of Victoriaville July 20, we are about to announce a parade in the Street of Montmagny on June 1st to celebrate the new season. More details will be announced soon.
