AutoCon 2016 Los Angeles PASMAG 21

The Los Angeles Convention Center opened its doors once again to AutoCon 2016, giving thousands of enthusiasts the opportunity to witness the latest in show cars and aftermarket brands. From race-inspired track cars to custom wide-bodied exotics, there's a little something for everyone to see. In addition to the show, a special constructed ‘drive-up’ stage, amply referred to as AutoCon Avenue, allowed higher profile vehicle builds to be driven up in-front of the crowd so that enthusiasts can hear, see and feel the engine start up, as well as learn a bit more about the car itself. The show wrapped-up with entertainment from some of the most popular influencers and musical talent. For more information, visit www.autoconevents.com.

Fitted Toronto 2014: Brampton, Ontario

Written by Randi Bentia | Photos by Randi Bentia The annual Fitted Lifestyle event, hosted by Stretch & Poke, took place at the Brampton Fairgrounds in Caldeon, ON on Saturday, May 24, 2014. The major difference from last year - the event's car show competition cars were all displayed indoors between 2 buildings (100+ cars total). I, personally, enjoyed walking between the buildings (40ft; outdoor); the theme and style of each indoor section/building were more evident with this outdoor area of walking space. It was like walking into 2 different shows. Enter the larger of the 2 buildings, your ears…

Wekfest Chicago 2011

For those that don’t know, WEKFEST was originally an annual show that started off in a parking garage in Japantown, San Francisco. Now in its fourth year they decided to bring the distinctly California style show on the road. On their first national tour they decided to team up with fellow Bay Area natives, Fatlace. Right after the Long Beach date, they had their eyes peeled on Chicago. We rolled into McCormick Convention Center at around 7:30 AM with the other vendors already setting up shop. They didn’t have too many vendors there assuring that the focus was on the…

Paul Walker Memorial Show 2016: Chicago, IL

On September 11, a large gathering of car enthusiasts in Chicago shared a moment of silence paying tribute to Paul Walker at the 4th Annual Paul Walker Memorial Show, just one day before the late actor’s 43rd birthday. Savage Performance hosted the event in the parking lot of Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. The Paul Walker Memorial was memorable thanks to a variety of tributes throughout the day. There were musical performances all day and a special guest appearance by Bow Wow later that evening. This incredible event brought together thousands of enthusiasts and a wide variety of…

Tokyo Auto Salon: Japan

As I head into my 40’s, I’m reminded that not only does perspective matter but also experience. This will be my 12th year covering the Tokyo Auto Salon (and the third with PASMAG) and I’m happy to say it never gets boring, regardless of age. Sure, I’m a little wearier than I used to be but there’s a clean and pure energy to the biggest automotive show on the planet that hits you like a spirit bomb when you trudge down the cold corridors of the entrance and emerge within the frenzied and buzzing halls beneath. It’s impossible not to…
