Let’s kick it with the always lovely Catherine Kluthe and put her through our usual interview antics.
Birth date: August 30 Sign of the Zodiac: Virgo Measurements: 34 / 25 / 36 Nationality: German, Filipina Hometown: Las Vegas, NV Turn-ons: Video games and guys with hair on their arms Turn-offs: Bad breath and people who brag
PAS: Can you describe yourself in three words?
Catharine Kluthe: Funny, super-adorable and hungry (laughs)
PAS: Where did you grow up?
Catharine Kluthe: Well, I was born in the Philippines, then moved to Las Vegas, NV and just moved to Sherman Oaks, CA in September of 2008. But to be honest, I’m not such a big fan of living in California… It was much nicer when I just came to visit.
PAS: How long have you been modeling?
Catharine Kluthe: Around 6 years now. It all started when I went to an agency in Las Vegas and got a ton of bookings that way. I love modeling in Vegas, you get to attend a ton of awesome events! Many of the same models would be booked for the same events, so it was like getting paid to go out with your girlfriends all the time!
PAS: Do you have any tips on modelling?
Catharine Kluthe: Always be on time. And it helps to make yummy treats for the crew so they will like you even more too!
PAS: Any top modeling highlights so far?
Catharine Kluthe: I loved being Miss Formula Drift… it was fun traveling across the country. I love taking photos, but I hate getting dressed and having to get all dolled up (Uggh).
PAS: What is the strangest photo-shoot you’ve done?
Catharine Kluthe: Too many to list (laughs). I have since learned not to do those anymore (smiles).
PAS: Tell us about your first kiss?
Catharine Kluthe: It was gross! I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to open my teeth and his tongue was all over trying to get through my tooth barricade…YUCK!
PAS: Do you have any scars or tattoos?
Catharine Kluthe: I have a big scar on my leg. When I was 5 years old we were supposed to go to Chucky Cheese, but my little sister got sick and we couldn’t go. I was so mad I kicked a garbage bag that had broken glass inside. Instead of Chucky Cheese, we ended up in the emergency room. Lesson learned.
PAS: What traits best describe you?
Catharine Kluthe: Educated, smart and I work my butt off to get what I want!
PAS: Do you have any pets?
Catharine Kluthe: Yes, a sweet mutt named Ben. He’s my boyfriend (laughs).
PAS: Ben sounds like a lucky guy. What do you do for fun?
Catharine Kluthe: Hike, cuddle, sleep, hang out at airports, laugh at people and have girls cooking day.
PAS: What frightens you the most?
Catharine Kluthe: Bugs! Even lady bugs! Oh and especially butterflies. I don’t know why people like them… You can’t trust a worm with wings!
PAS: Any prized possessions?
Catharine Kluthe: I don’t really care about too many of my possessions. I like nice things and have a lot of them, but I care mostly about the people I surround myself with.
PAS: What is your favorite type of food?
Catharine Kluthe: All of it! I cook all the time and I will try anything at least once.
PAS: What is your dream car?
Catharine Kluthe: A Mercedes Maybach. I just like the idea of being driven around in one.
PAS: Do you have a favorite recording artist or band?
Catharine Kluthe: I listen to all types of music, from Metallica to Mariah Carey. I love good lyrics and always wonder what the writer was thinking about when they wrote one of the songs I really like.
PAS: What is your favorite quote or motto?
Catharine Kluthe: We are like teabags; we don’t know our own strength until we are in hot water!
PAS: If you had one wish, what would it be?
Catharine Kluthe: To be invisible so that you wouldn’t see me spying on you (laughs).
PAS: Have you ever posed nude?
Catharine Kluthe: Yes, in my own bedroom and every time I get out of the shower, including in my living room, the guest room, the backyard, just not in any photos that you can see (smiles).
PAS: What would make you slap a guy?
Catharine Kluthe: If he stole my turkey burger or took the last french fry. Grrrrrrr.
PAS: How do you seduce a guy?
Catharine Kluthe: I just club them over the head and drag them back to my den. It’s pretty easy that way (winks).
PAS: Have any of your fantasies become reality?
Catharine Kluthe: Yes, and no comment (laughs).
PAS: Any upcoming projects?
Catharine Kluthe: Well, I am still attempting to finish flight school to get my private pilots license, but finding the time has been a problem.
PAS: Any advice to give aspiring models?
Catharine Kluthe: I would not be a good person to seek advice from. I just got into modeling by accident. I never really wanted to be a model. I just kept getting jobs. I don’t care to be famous or popular. I guess aspiring models should just be careful and read the contract. Don’t do ANYTHING for free and always take someone with you.
PAS: Any shout outs or last words?
Catharine Kluthe: I’d like to thank all of you troublemakers at PAS Magazine and of course all my family and friends. I love you all! Oh… and don’t forget to wear your bear suit in the bedroom. (It’s an inside joke).
