01 Ryan Jacobs 2011 VW GTI Waterfest 2017 PASMAG

Known on the forums as HYDE16, Ryan Jacobs stuck with the Jekyll & Hyde theme during his extensive build to strike a balance between a fun daily driver during the week (Jekyll), and aggressive performance machine during track events (Hyde). Ryan focused on increasing stiffness, improving suspension geometry, gaining traction, and adding gobs of power.

Ryan started with a stock 2011 Volkswagen GTI, added every bolt-on he could, and upgraded to a ported and polished K04 turbo with Aquamist direct port methanol. More recently, Ryan worked with Pag Parts Turbo in Deer Park, New York, for a built long block engine with forged internals, upgraded valvetrain, Torqbyte fuel system, TyrolSport radiator, and Pag Parts’ front-mount intercooler and EFR 7163 turbo kit capable of 550 horsepower.
