I missed that smell, I truly did. It seemed as it has been an eternity since I have been covered in Smoke and bits of tire. Sunday was an amazing turn out, I haven’t been to many Drift Days in Shannonville but this has been the best so far. There were a bunch of new drivers who improved so much throughout the day. Then there were some very experienced drivers who tried to get as close as they possibly could to the wall on the final corner on the Nelson Track, I think only 2 ended up lightly hitting the wall, nothing major.
Anyway, I was so excited for the event that I didn’t end up taking a decent opening shot.
I thought this would be a decent opener, Mitch Gaignard (IS300) and Justin Forsyth (Red S14) getting pretty close! Could be a little closer though!
Here’s another shot of Mr. Forsyth, looking at it now I’m thinking I should of seen if he would have been able to hit a water bottle if I set it on the track.
I always feel so special when drivers throw their hands out the windows at me and show some love!
Wayne Lee of the Cool Kids Club tearing it up and getting some awesome angle!
At about 3pm or so me and a group of friends heard a kitten meowing underneath a BMW but he was actually inside the engine bay somewhere, eventually he crawled out from underneath and we were able to grab ahold of him. He didn’t have a collar on or anything like that he seemed to only be about a month old so he needed a home!
First time drifter, Brent Stratton and his family offered to give the kitten a home.
With a new pet they need a name, and this little drift cat was named Domo. Out of all the track days and events I have been too I have never ever seen anything like this happen.
