2012 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational Captivates Sold Out Crowd

The fifth annual OPTIMA® Ultimate Street Car Invitational, presented by K&N Filters and Royal Purple, brought in massive crowds with a sold out event, more thrilling moments and record times, ultimately crowning Mark Stielow and his custom 1967 Chevrolet Camaro as the 2012 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car. It was a year for close competition with the top two participants separated by a single point and a tie for third place overall. It has been nearly a decade since the legendary Markham Fairgrounds hosted an automotive show, let alone a tuner-specific one. The last of the great shows during the old generation series was that of DarkNights, until the Second Glance Media crew brought out Import Expo 2011. DMCC Round 5 2012: Montmagny, QC

Round 5 of the DMCC series took place in Montmagny, Quebec. The event was originally supposed to be held on the 11th but due to severe thunder storms in the forecast for the first time in DMCC history the event was postponed to the week after. Changing the date of the event was a good move since it was a super nice day but did have its downfall as a few of the regular drivers were not able to make it due to schedule conflicts.
