Slamology 2016: Indianapolis, IN

Here comes the BOOM!!! The 13th annual Slamology Automotive and Music Festival came in with a BOOM this year! With well over 1,200 participants between the car shows and audio competitions, it was one of the largest years yet. You had everything from cars, trucks, SUVs and vans with anything from a nice, clean SQ set up to compete in Sound Quality to having a single sub set up, to having massive walls of woofers and doors filled with speakers and woofers. Every year the audio portion of the event has grown to the extreme. You couldn't walk through the…

AutoCon 2016: Los Angeles, CA

The Los Angeles Convention Center opened its doors once again to AutoCon 2016, giving thousands of enthusiasts the opportunity to witness the latest in show cars and aftermarket brands. From race-inspired track cars to custom wide-bodied exotics, there's a little something for everyone to see. In addition to the show, a special constructed ‘drive-up’ stage, amply referred to as AutoCon Avenue, allowed higher profile vehicle builds to be driven up in-front of the crowd so that enthusiasts can hear, see and feel the engine start up, as well as learn a bit more about the car itself. The show wrapped-up…

Formula Drift Round 5 2013: Seattle, WA

Formula D threw down in Seattle, Washington for the fifth stop on the 2013 tour to perfect weather and a sold-out crowd. The Evergreen Speedway track has been on the schedule since 2006, and has provided some of the most dramatic finishes over the past several years. This year would be no different as there were several major shakeups in the championship point’s standings. Friday’s qualifying was topped by Darren McNamara, piloting his Falken Tire S14 to the top position with a qualify score of 97.5, one of the best so far this season. Fredric Aasbo slid into second in…

Import Face-Off 2011: Woodburn, OR

Text by Import Face-Off | Photos by Jerron Warren This first time visit to Oregon for Import Face-Off definitely won’t be a last! Even with the cold, gloomy weather, turnout was a success with all race classes full. The second annual Oregon IFO has already been scheduled for the same weekend in 2012. Reid Lunde from Kennewick, Washington won the FWD class with his 8.9 second civic against Jeff Merdic from Federal Way, Washington. Kevin Kempf, also with an 8 second Civic, was looking to meet Reid in the finals, but had to drop out before eliminations due to a…
