SEMA 2015: SEMA Ignited

SEMA Ignited was a little different this year. Instead of the usual lot, it took over the “Gold Lot,” overlooked by the empty Riviera hotel. Sung Kang, Kei Miura and many other show favorites showed up to sign autographs and hangout around the show vehicles that chose to attend. Formula Drift also had its drivers do drift demos to stir up some smoke. Combine all that with friends and food trucks and you’ve got yourself a pretty stellar after party.…

Wekfest Long Beach 2012

Hot off the heels of SF WEKFEST in February, WEKSOS kicked off their first tour stop and the Summer Season with WEKFEST LA. On June 2nd, the Queen Mary Events Center played host to thousands of spectators, enthusiasts, vendors, participants, and everyone in between. The venue is situated right along the Port of Long Beach, which only added to the visual beauty of the show cars that all had to pass through WEKFEST's screening process. Due to this process, the show has become synonymous with quality builds and a place where almost everyone has a camera in hand, eager to…

Southern Wörthersee 2014: Helen, GA

Written by Randi Bentia | Photos by Michael Watson The Volkwagen Audi Group (VAG) community has either heard of or participated in the event titled, "Wörthersee". The Wörthersee Tour in Reifnitz, Austria is the largest gathering of VAG enthusiasts in the world. Here in North America, the team at H2O Tuning hosts Southern Wörthersee, also known as SOWO, in the Bavarian-themed town of Helen, Georgia. On May 18-19, 2014, the event brought together cars and fans of the European car market, but many people and Japanese import cars were also seen in attendance, of which also appreciated the European atmosphere.…

SEMA 2012: Scion Media Preview

Each year, Scion holds a special media preview a week before SEMA to showcase some of the builds that will be at the SEMA show. With the launch of the Scion FR-S this year, there's already much pre-show hype about the car, and Scion plans to add to that. Three select tuners each were given an FR-S and $15k to build it for the annual Tuner Showdown. This year's competitors were Daniel Song from Los Angeles, John Toca from Chicago, and Chris Basselgia from Pennsylvania. In addition, a handful of top Scion partners were given cars to build that will…
