Lone Star Throwdown 2017 Conroe TX PAS 78

2017 marked the 6th Anniversary for Lone Star Throwdown (LST), a show that started with humble beginnings by the two creators, Todd “Radar” Hendrex and Lonnie Ford in 2012. Presented by Power Stroke Enginuities (PSE) and taking place in the city of Conroe, not only does this show draw a huge amount of vehicles from the state of Texas where it’s held, but from all over the United States, Mexico and even Canada. Most attendees post pictures and videos of their “LST Crunch” getting their trucks or cars ready, and then of the actual journey. Not too many shows out there have the following like this one does, considering it's only in it’s 6th year. This year the club that Lonnie and Radar are also members of, Negative Camber, celebrated their 25th Anniversary with a party on Saturday night, drawing members from all across the globe, including some from as far away as Australia. Their club even took home the “Club Participation” award for having the most members showing vehicles at the show, and in fact the trophy was taken back to Australia where I’m sure it was greeted with a warm reception by those who couldn’t make it.

Formula Drift Round 7 2011: Irwindale, CA

Over the past 8 years, Formula D has grown to become one of if not the most elite drifting series in the entire world. In each of those 8 seasons, the finale has been held at the same iconic track that birthed the first professional drifting exhibition event back in 2003 under the guidance of Ryan Sage and Jim Liaw. This year’s event featured the most competitive championship chase to date, with 6 drivers eyeing the championship, and even as the final 4 begun, a season champion had yet to be determined. Irwindale’s iconic high-speed banked track is linked with…

Import vs Domestic by Elite Tuner 2016: Philadelpahia, PA

If you’re looking for a show that’s all about build quality, look no further than Elite Tuner shows. Touching down in Philadelphia, the Sunday “Import vs Domestic” show presented by R/T Tuning was a battle royale between imports and domestic cars, all built to show-stopping levels of modification. Like many Elite Tuner shows, this show attracted an audience from all over, with some competitors even coming from out of the country to showcase their rides. With cash prizes for Best of Show and Best Team Participation, there was no shortage of high-profile competitors or big teams. The Simeone Foundation Automotive…

X Games 17 Rally

In their 17th rendition, X Games took to the Staples Center and the surrounding area to award medals in sports that just one generation ago didn’t have formal competitions to compete in. Rally is relatively new to the X games circle, but has picked up steam in recent years. Joining X games legends like Travis Pastrana, Brian Deegan, and Dave Mirra, international drivers are now joining the mix. 2 years ago, Indy 500 champion Kenny Brack took top honors in the debut of the Ford Fiesta platform, but for 2011, 2-time WRC champion Marcus Gronholm stepped into the same former…

Redline TIme Attack: Sebring

The historic Sebring Raceway played host to the final East Coast round of the 2010 Redline Time Attack season this past weekend. The weather was hot and the competition was even hotter as drivers battled for the East Coast championships. The competitors were comprised of a mix of this year’s hottest cars, new cars we’ve never seen, and some old cars we haven’t seen in a while. Forged Performance and BC Racing Suspension both share a bunch of past successes in previous seasons of Redline Time Attack, however, neither has made an appearance since 2009, but there were also plenty…
