NWMOTIV: Forum Fest 2011

It was a weird week leading up to the 2nd Annual Forum Fest presented by NOS Energy Drinks. The weather was different every day, some wet and cloudy, some sunny and mild but no one could have guessed what the weather was going to do for Saturday the 25th of June. The weather finally turned for the best early the morning of the event and eventually brought out sunny skies and mild temps. Scion FR-S RC Rally Cup

Scion recently teamed up with R/C company HPI to throw the first-ever FR-S Cup. Held at Toyota’s Torrance, California, corporate headquarters, this just-for-fun event featured a variety of FR-S-based R/C races, an FR-S R/C car show, and even appearances from Scion luminaries like Stephen Papadakis and Five Axis’ Troy Sumitomo. Prizes were awarded throughout the day – we didn’t win anything, but given that we didn’t completely embarrass ourselves during our competition heat, we came out feeling like winners anyway.…

Thank you to all the fans for the continuous support. Even without a working 2nd gear, David Penton from Winter Haven, FL (black Toyota Supra) won the Forced Induction Pro class running consistent low 10s throughout the day.
