KC Kuhnhausen's Fab Work

I want to revisit an old friend of our's - Kyle Kuhnhausen. Some of you may recognize this car. It was an editor's top pick. A few SEMA's ago. This was the ballistic beige Corvette and there's so much more that meets the eye.

The fabrication on this car was out of this world. Everything was modular and adjustable and easily serviceable. Totally Motorsport decorated and ready to rock. Looking like an average street car. He's doing it again. So there's a '66 Corvette in his shop and it's in for some serious fabrication work and if you don't know Kyle, you have to check him out. He's one of the best fabricators I know.

This is no ordinary build. It's on an Art Morrison chassis and that involves a ton of fab work from Kyle to get this thing up to the spec beyond the owner wants. And part of that is what Kyle calls his most intense build and probably the highest quality assembly to date on many levels. And if you know Kyle, that is a big claim.

This took some time to assemble obviously. The cross member that bolts in place of the Art Morrison Enterprises GT sport unit and it utilizes the standard frame connections. Now if you're replacing chassis parts on an Art Morrison chassis, you know what you're doing. This is a full blown serious build and the cross member bolted up. Its built to accommodate the tucked
dual three inch oval exhaust for maximum ground clearance and transmission clearance.

This LT4 is going to get a BMW DCT transmission mated up to it and you can also see the gorgeous 4-to-1 header work on the front. It's so well put together. It's all equal length. It's got good clearance and room on all sides and the ability to push the floorboard forward to accommodate a tall driver.

Lastly, you can see him weighing it here and you know, when you're weighing your custom-made headers, you're taking things very very seriously, and that's what Kyle does. Seriously, if you're a fabricator or an engineer and you're looking for some inspiration, 100% check this guy out. He always drops some cool knowledge and some tips videos for fab. It's always
good stuff!

As seen on PASMAG's Tuning 365 (Season 3 Episode 3) on REV TV.
