ImportFest Toronto 2020 Has Been Cancelled

In light of the unprecedented and challenging business situation stemming from the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, Importfest regrets to inform the public that their 2020 event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada has been cancelled.

"We have been monitoring the situation and have taken advice from public health authorities with the highest priority while considering the safety of our community, participants, staff and audience members," President of Importfest, Basit Mirza, states. "Since the onset of this global pandemic, we have worked very hard to maintain our operations and have been steadfast in our online marketing and promotions. However, the uncertainty of the future is making it difficult for event planners across the globe."

Today, the City of Toronto announced that it is cancelling permits for major events and festivals in July and August based on public health advice. In addition, the Government legislation limiting large gatherings remain in place.

Since, 2001 ImportFest has consecutively hosted events in the City of Toronto. ImportFest 2020 would have been their 20th Year Anniversary show.

Importfest has already started to plan for 2021 with a tentative date scheduled for Saturday July 24, 2021.

"Thank you to all those who purchased tickets to this year’s event," Mirza mentions, "and we truly appreciate your support. We will be contacting you to make arrangements for refunds as well offering incentives if you wish to hold your tickets for next year’s event."

"A special Thank you to our vehicle competitors – we appreciate the time and effort you have taken to prepare for ImportFest." They will be contacting the competitors to make arrangements for refunds as well offering incentives if they wish to hold their registration for next year’s event.

"Thank you to our entire team, special guests, exhibitors and sponsors who were all looking forward to an epic event this year. We hope to have you all back next year for an even BIGGER ImportFest," states Mirza.
